Kilometres for Communication Video
By: webmaster | December 11, 2011 |In July 2011 the Wattie Family crossed Canada in their fundraising campaign Kilometres for Communication, which is raising national public education and awareness about Augmentative and Alternative Communication!
In partnership with the Canadian Chapter of the International Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication, Skye Wattie cycled from B.C. to Newfoundland accompanied by his brother Kerr partway in a bike trailer. On July 25th Skye and his mother Gail arrived in Halifax and joined SHANS for a waterfront fundraiser, selling K4C t-shirts, strawberry shortcake, and listening to some great music!
Make sure to check out a music video of the K4C event by clicking here. Many thanks to Past President Renena Joy for putting this wonderful video together!
Skye is now finished his cross-country tour; however, you can hear all about Skye’s journey on his blog.
